Configuration Files

Configuration files are accessible from the "File" Menu. They define all of the programmable settings for the SM2 including mixing percentages, servo rates, end points, and so on. These files can be viewed in any text editor, or by double-clicking the configuration file if it has the ".txt" file extension.

Every configuration file for the SM2 Control Panel Application contains a line with the following text:

"Desert RC Standard Mixer Control Panel" ...

This line is mandatory in configuration files and it is automatically created along with all of the SM2 configuration information every time the configuration file is created or saved.

Configuration files  for the SM2 can be loaded, saved, and shared. Comments can be added to explain what the configuration does as long as the comments abide by certain rules as explained in the next section. There is no restriction in regards to file extensions or file names. Files are loaded and saved using standard Windows dialogs that support network and FLASH drives.
